Website made by Steve Hanks using only Xara Web Designer, and no other graphics or software tools. At this point, as well as touring and performing Steve had also worked for many years as a TV extra in between gigs and had hundreds of appearances in programme's such as Emmerdale, Coronation Street, Heartbeat, The Royal and The Upper Hand. Steve also had speaking parts in productions of ‘A Touch of Frost’ and ‘Coronation Street’ as well as several commercials and a couple of films. After a year or so as a solo act Tony Hornsby joined Steve once more and then in 2006 Tony and Steve teamed up with Jon J Paul to form 'C'est La Vie'. They toured for 14 around months before Steve decided to leave and concentrate on a career change by re-training as a teacher. Another career change came in 2009 when Steve became a contract manager for a major international welfare to work organisation. Steve was 'ironically' made redundant in January 2012 as a result of changes in government funding and restructuring. As you can see Steve has had a varied career over the last 30 years but one thing has remained a constant throughout and that is 'Country Music'. Steve is back on the Country Music scene once more as a full time solo artist from September onwards. He is a self contained artist and uses top quality backing tracks with the lead guitar taken off so all the lead guitar is played live and to a high standard. His material covers the likes of Hanks Williams, George Strait, Alan Jackson, Billy Currington, Zac Brown just to mention a few. Steve has performed in venues in all parts of the UK and abroad in Belgium, Holland and Spain. As well as performing in his own right Steve has also supported several well known American and Canadian artistes such as Scooter Lee, George Hamilton IV, Stella Parton and of course many of the great British bands at festivals and theatre events in the UK. The wide range of material which Steve covers and the quality of his sound makes him a popular choice for listeners, dancers and westerners alike. Steve also carries a P.A system which is compact yet big enough to handle the larger venues with lights if necessary.
